The Gailtal valley offers winter fun for everyone: skiing at Nassfeld, ice skating at lake Pressegger See or building snowmen at Schluga Strand. Enjoy the tranquillity of the snow-covered landscape on a walk or a snowshoe hike.
SKI & Board
Nassfeld, Carinthia's largest ski area, is just 12 km from the apartments away and offer over 110 km of perfectly groomed pistes with snow-making facilities - ideal for families. The “Millennium-Express” gondola lift, which can be reached in around 15 minutes, covers 1.300 metres in altitude in 20 minutes and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
A free ski bus stops 50 m away.

Cross-country skiing & tobogganing
The Hermagor region offers a variety of winter activities: several toboggan runs, such as on the Guggenberg in Hermagor or in Tröpolach, povide fun - some are also floodlit in the evening. Leisurely walks to the starting point and nearby inns round off the experience.
Cross-country skiers can look forward to a 300 km network of trails with classic and skating routes. Snow-covered trails can be found at Nassfeld, in Lesachtal and at Weißensee. In snowy winters, the trails start not far from our apartments.
Winter- & snowshoe hikes
Explore the snow-coverd winter landscape around the apartments on winter or snowshoe hikes far away from the hustle and bustle. Numerous marked routes offer varied experiences and impressive panoramas.
Ski tourers will find ideal conditions with fantastic deep snow descents in the Lesachtal, Gail and Gitschtal valleys.

Lake Pressegger See freezes over completely in cold winters and offers up to 55 hectares of ice rink, including a 2,5 km long groomed circular rink. Skate hire is available at the neighbouring lido Presseggen.
Around 30 km away is Lake Weißensee with the largest prepared
natural ice surface in Europe (6,5 km²). Every year in January, the Dutch 11-city tour takes place there.
